Participate in the New Beta Program
You are invited to be in our Beta Program/Focus Group to help individual Security Professionals
Why We Are Taking Action:
The Community Leadership Council was created in the spring of 2018 with the goal to create a program to address the issues that are unique to Small IT and Small Security teams of SMB’s, Non-Profits, Educational Institutions and Government Agencies that have limited cybersecurity skills and staff to handle all of the challenges they face. We have been facilitating this program since September of last year with two calls per month with Calls with a SME hosted by Fortune 1000 experts.
In January at the CyberUSA Security Conference in Washington DC, CyberUSA announced our partnership and directed us to define a program to help the individual security professionals that have even less time and resources available to them. As a founding member of the Champion’s program of the Cyber Readiness Institute and after holding our focus group with the FBI InfraGard program of Oregon, we understand this issue faces over 100,000 companies in the US alone. The Cyber Readiness Institute has the goal of reaching 1 million small security teams with their tools and resources, with a significant portion within the United States representing the cohort we are aiming to support with the results of this program. The need for support has become extremely evident through these partnerships.
We are about to launch a CyberUSA Advisory Board co-chaired by Phil Bond, CyberUSA Executive Director, and Stefan Richards, the former CISO for the State of Oregon, who is now a member of our team. The goal of this advisory board is to define a program to help the sole security professionals that have even less time and resources available to them. Shortly, we will kick off this Beta Program in parallel with the advisory board with individuals from around the country. The participant profile that we are seeking for participation are likely either sole security practitioners, part time security practitioners, or IT leaders who can speak to the wants and needs of these professionals.
We would like to invite you to join our Beta Program Focus Group to help this segment of the Cybersecurity industry to cyber smarter and their organizations stronger. We are anticipating this will take between 8 – 10 hours of you time over the next few months. While we are not providing compensation to be in this program, we are also not charging them to be part of this community effort. The offer we are making available is access to a community membership for $1,000 (an 80% discount ) as a thank you for the people that will give use their time and expertise. This is a membership designed to serve small and medium security teams through access to top level security practitioners and subject matter experts.
